The Koori Women's Diversion Program:

The Koori Women's Diversion Program assists with diverting our Koori Women from further contact with the Criminal Justice system.

We will assist you to move through the justice and broader service system by delivering an intensive case management model. You will have the chance to talk about your problems and needs, which may include:

• Accessing housing
• Physical and Mental Health problems
• Training and employment
• Family violence
• AOD issues
• Financial problems
• Court support

We will develop your case plan and assist you to connect with the right programs for your needs.

Koori Men’s Diversion Program:

The Koori Men’s Diversion Program provides services to empower our Koori men, who are at risk of offending or re-offending.

The aim of this Program is to support Koori men, aged 18 years and over living in the Mallee Region, to reduce the factors that may lead them to having continued contact with the justice system.

The Koori Men's Diversion Program offers assistance with:

• Accessing housing
• Physical and Mental Health
• Training and employment
• Family Violence
• Drug and Alcohol issues
• Financial problems
• Court Support

ReConnect Program:

ReConnect is a personalised, community based, case management support for people upon release from prison. Participants start ReConnect eight weeks prior to release and meet their ReConnect case manager face-to-face before leaving prison.

Following on from plans made in prison, ReConnect case managers support participants to turn those plans into meaningful action.

Returning home from prison can present challenges. ReConnect provides support through:

• Brief reintegration stream: One to three months of post-release support. Focused on immediate transition needs that can be addressed through strategies.

• Extended reintegration stream: Up to six months of post-release support.

• Intensive reintegration stream: Nine months of post-release support. Focused on more complex needs, as well as those who are tenants of Corrections Victoria Supported Housing Program (CVSHP) properties.
